I’m Sarge. I look big and tough, but I’m really a shy guy. When I meet someone new, I get nervous and might let out a little growl while I figure you out. I don’t mean anything by it — I just need a moment. I can be a bit mouthy, too, giving soft little nibbles or gentle grabs when I’m unsure or excited. It’s just how I check things out. Give me a treat and a little time, and I start to warm up fast. Then the wiggles come out. I get bouncy, happy, and ready to follow you everywhere just to stay close. I make tiny huffs when I’m unsure and big, content sighs when I settle in. At the end of the day, I’m a friendly, affectionate dog who warms up slow, loves hard, play hard, and has plenty of high-energy joy once I trust you.

Each adoption consists of an interview, application, counseling session, and adoption contract. All adoptions are handled on a case-by-case basis, but most adoptions are first-come, first-served, and holds cannot be placed in advance for someone to meet with an animal. All animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Please see http://www.nevadahumanesociety.org/ for more information including all currently available animals, adoption prices, resources, and events.
