Adoption steps
- Submit ApplicationPlease submit your adoption application, online: gatoscallejeros.org/adopt
- InterviewWe will review your adoption application and follow up via email within 24-72 hours to schedule a phone interview.
- Meet the PetIf appropriate, we allow "meet and greets" once potential adopters have been interviewed and approved.
- Sign Adoption ContractOnce potential adopter is set on adopting, we will review and sign the adoption contract.
- Home CheckWe will schedule and drop off your adopted pet to your home residence. At drop off, we will perform a small home check.
- Pay FeeThe adoption fee can be paid same day the contract is signed or the day of "drop off" of your pet companion.
- Take the Pet HomeAfter delivering your new pet companion, they are home! "Happy Gotcha Day!" adoption photos are commonly taken to remember the special day.
