DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Hi there! I’m Pup Ernest!

I’m a very handsome brindle boy (I get compliments all the time), and my friends think I’m a Plott Hound mix. I got my second chance thanks to K-9 Lifesavers, who rescued me from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. I’m so grateful—and ready to find my forever family! I’m a young guy with a big heart and an even bigger love for life. I’m sweet, friendly, playful, and I get along great with other dogs. If you’ve got a canine buddy at home, even better—I love making friends! I’m also at the perfect age for training and socialization, and I’m eager to learn and please. I’d be happiest in an active home where we can go on adventures, play, and then snuggle up after a fun-filled day. In return, I promise endless wet-nose kisses, enthusiastic butt wiggles, and unconditional love.

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
