Dog's Name: Pup Diego (DIE1225ALAMN)
Estimated Breed: Pointer mix
Approximate Age: 4-5 months
Approximate Weight: 22 lbs
Currently Living at: Boarding
Adoption Fee: $500
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Pup Diego!
Diego and his two brothers, Larry and Luke, found themselves where no puppy should ever be — a very full shelter in Alabama. Thankfully, K-9 Lifesavers rescued them just in the nick of time, and now Diego is safe, thriving, and ready to find his forever family. Could that be you? Diego is a handsome pointer mix (best guess) with a striking white coat decorated with rich chocolate spots. He’s the littlest of the trio, but what he lacks in size he more than makes up for in personality! Diego is a very affectionate, happy pup who loves to play and does great with other dogs. Like his brothers, Diego is in his prime for training and socialization. With his smart mix and eager-to-please nature, he’s ready to learn and would thrive in an active home that will continue building his confidence, skills, and fun-loving spirit.
Affectionate and happy
Playful and great with other dogs
Smart, eager to learn, and ready for training
Neutered and ready for his forever home
Diego is ready to leave his shelter days behind and start a lifetime of love and companionship. Apply today and give Diego the forever home he truly deserves!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.org
