My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

(I'm being fostered in the East Bay and this bio is from my foster home)

Bear came into our lives at just two weeks old after being abandoned, and she has been wrapping people around her paws ever since. While she is a tiny puppy now, she is a Shepherd/Rottweiler mix-a combination of two of the most loyal, intelligent, and powerful breeds in the world. We have given her a foundation of love and stability, and now we are looking for a breed-savvy, experienced owner to help her reach her full potential.

Bear has had an elite start. She's been fostered in a stable home, socialized with humans of all sizes, and mentored by our three "nanny dogs" (two Pits and a Chiweenie). She is a "rock star" on 12+ hour road trips, showing a level of calm and patience rarely seen in a puppy. She is playful and curious, yet remarkably thoughtful and observant.

Bear is kind, gentle, and incredibly smart, but she is also a working-breed mix. As she grows into an adult, she will need more than just affection; she will need structure, clear boundaries, and confident leadership. She is a "thinker" who watches the world with expressive, soulful eyes. An experienced owner will know how to channel that focus into advanced training or mental work to keep her sharp and balanced. We would not recommend her with a cat.

Size and Strength: She will likely grow into a substantial dog. We are looking for an owner who understands the importance of early leash discipline and impulse control.

If we didn't already have three dogs, Bear would stay with us forever-she is that special. We are looking for a home that appreciates the "diamond" she is but is also prepared for the responsibility of a Shepherd/Rottie mix. We hope to find her a home with experience and someone that can continue training her into the perfect lady!

If you are looking for a gentle soul who will grow into your very best friend and protector, Bear is waiting for you.
