Colfax is a sweet dog. She is used to getting a lot of love and attention. Ever since we had our daughter we had not been able to give her the same level of attention which causes some jealousy between Colfax and our daughter. We have been trying to get Colfax to adjust and bond with our daughter for the last 20 months to no avail.
We would love to find someone who would be willing to take in both Colfax and our other dog, Lincoln, since they are very close to each other. The ideal home would have no kids so they could get the same level of attention as they were given before.
Colfax and Lincoln have slowed down quite a bit. A few years ago Colfax sustained a back injury when she was playing with Lincoln and they collided with each other. As a result, Colfax does need to be given occasional pain medications when she has flares up that causes her to be stiff. Lincoln is just happy to be a cuddle buddy.
