In the legends of the Caribbean, Calypso was a powerful goddess who ruled the waves. Our Calypso may be a bit smaller (and much fluffier!), but she is looking for a kingdom to call her very own. After two years away, Calypso has returned to our rescue, and we’ve discovered that this stunning girl is ready to retire from the "crew" life and become a solo captain.
Calypso is a dilute tortoiseshell, sporting a coat of soft greys and muted creams that is as unique as a rare sea pearl. While the stress of her recent journey has made her coat a little dull, we know that with the right "treasure" (yummy food!) and a peaceful harbor, she’ll be back to her glowing, lustrous self in no time.
Calypso is a clever girl with a few adorable quirks:
* The Treasure Hunter: She loves to "steal" toys and stash them around her condo. You’ll never know where she’s hidden her latest prize!
* The Siren’s Song: She has the sweetest, tiniest "mew" that she uses to call for attention or to let you know that her favorite wet food is overdue.
* The Solitary Sovereign: We’ve learned that Calypso isn't a fan of other animals. She found the "pirate crew" life with her sister a bit too stressful, and she is much happier as the only pet. She wants all the chin scratches and sunbeams for herself!
Calypso is a sensitive soul. She can be a bit nervous around new people—especially adult men—but her heart wants to trust. She is looking for a patient human who understands that the best treasures aren't found overnight. Our vetting team is working with her to help her feel brave again, and she’s showing us more of that playful kitten spirit every single day.

Your application simply shows that you are interested in an animal; it is not a binding contract.
Meet the Pet
Your chosen animal’s foster home will reach out to you to discuss the pet you are interested in. If applicable, schedule a meet and greet!
Sign Adoption Contract
An Applications team member will send the electronic adoption contract to you to be signed. They will also request adoption fee payment.
Take the Pet Home
Once adoption agreement and payment are complete, you take your new pet home!
