This lovely lady is a quiet, sensitive soul who prefers to take life at her own pace. She’s not the type to jump into your lap or ask for constant attention, and she isn’t comfortable with being picked up or handled. What she is, however, is deeply kind, observant, and full of quiet charm.
Once she feels safe and trusts you, her true personality begins to shine. With patience, consistency, and—most importantly—treats (especially Churu!), she’ll happily come close, and allow gentle pets. Food is definitely the way to her heart, and she’s very motivated when tasty rewards are involved.
She would thrive in a calm, understanding home with someone who appreciates a slower-building bond and finds joy in earning a cat’s trust. In return, you’ll gain a loyal companion who shows her affection in subtle, meaningful ways.
Laverne likes to play with her sister and brothers and has lived with them for her entire life. Although we don't think she is bonded with her brother Sonny, if you are looking for two cats, please consider adopting them together. She would also likely blossom more with a confident and nice cat in your home already.
