Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Kestrel 🖤
Kestrel's adoption fee has been generously sponsored, so you can take him home for no fee today!
Kestrel is a handsome senior boy with sleek, all-black fur and a calm, soulful presence. While he has plenty of life experience behind him, he’s now ready to enjoy the comforts of indoor living—and he’s taking to it beautifully. This sweet guy is very friendly and truly enjoys human company. He’s happy to accept pets and attention, especially from people who appreciate a gentle, easygoing cat.
Kestrel loves food (who doesn’t?) and has a curious nature that keeps him engaged with his surroundings. He enjoys observing the world, cozy naps, and spending time near his people. He strikes a lovely balance between independence and affection: content to relax on his own, but always happy to share quiet moments with you.
If you’re looking for a friendly, low-drama senior cat who will thrive as an indoor companion and bring warmth and companionship to your home, Kestrel could be the perfect fit. 🐾
Kestrel is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all of his vaccinations. You can meet him at the CASPCA between the hours of 12PM and 6PM daily, no appointment necessary. For more information, please email adoptions@caspca.org.

We ask potential adopters to fill out a matchmaker form. When they are ready to adopt an animal and the form and interview process indicates a good match, we have the adopter sign an adoption contract promising that the animal will receive good physical and emotional care. Fees vary and we often have adoption specials. Fees for senior pets are sponsored. Otherwise, dogs are $100, puppies $150 and up, cats are $75, kittens are $95.
