Introducing Christmas, a sweet and silly boy ready to bring joy to your home! This charming kitten, with his unique half-striped, half-black fur, is an absolute delight.
Christmas might be a tad cautious initially, but he’s remarkably quick to adapt and has settled into home life beautifully. He’s a litter box champion, always using it perfectly even when it’s downstairs. Playful and curious, Christmas prefers exploring. He’s intelligent, too – a gentle redirection is all it takes to keep him off the table.
He loves being at the heart of the action but is equally content to quietly observe. Don't be surprised if this food-motivated fella, who will spontaneously hop onto your lap (especially if snacks are involved), proves trainable for little tricks! Mornings find him eagerly awaiting breakfast before a day of playful exploration and naps. He’ll occasionally vocalize for a treat or a snuggle with his "mom."
While he enjoys cuddles when sleepy, Christmas is an active boy who turns anything into a toy! He loves batting balls, chasing string, and investigating paper bags and boxes. A window perch where he can survey the world would be his ultimate delight. Could Christmas be the missing piece in your forever family?
Christmas is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page.
If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
