McMuffin was a stray and has a charming, confident personality and a whole lot to say 🐾😺 This good boy is happily independent, loves a tasty wet treat snack, and will chat with you about everything he sees or wants. He doesn’t mind being held or carried and enjoys being petted—he may jump a little at the first touch, but quickly settles in and shows just how sweet and affectionate he really is.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

Submit Application

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
