Meet Bea – The Queen of the Couch and the Yard!
Rescued, recovering, and ready to love hard and lounge harder.
Bea is a stunning, classic German Rottweiler who was found dumped in a swamp with four other dogs before ending up in a crowded shelter. She arrived with a bite wound on her neck, but through it all, this 100-pound sweetheart never showed a single ounce of aggression toward people. In fact—she loves everyone, including kids!
She’s currently undergoing heartworm treatment (slow kill started 11/1/24) after her wounds delayed her start, but she’s well on her way to healing and thriving.
Bea at a Glance:
• About 3 minutes of playful energy, followed by a strong urge to nap and snack
• Excellent with other large dogs—she’s polite and social in the play yard
• Not a good match for cats or small dogs (she’s a lovable bulldozer and doesn’t know her size!)
• Gentle and sweet with children
• Stocky, strong, and full of classic Rottie charm, complete with a long tail and expressive eyes
Her Ideal Home:
• Large dog savvy folks who understand Rottweilers or guardian breeds
• No small dogs or cats
• A cozy spot to nap after playtime (bonus points for snacks and belly rubs)
• A family who will keep her safe and spoiled—just like she deserves
Bea may look tough, but she’s really just a giant cuddle bug who wants love, snacks, and a comfy place to nap after a rough start to life.

***If you choose to adopt (before all vetting is complete) and use your own vet rather than our local Snip Clinic for these services, you do so at your own expense and it will not reduce the adoption fee. Adoption fees are NON NEGOTIABLE.
1.) All dogs are adopted to the best possible match and calling or emailing the rescue will not speed up the process or liken your chances of being chosen.
2.) You will be notified by adoption coordinator if your application is approved. Adoptions are set up by appointment only. We do not have “hours” of operation.
3.) If the dog is posted as Available on Petfinder, it is available but may have pending applications and meet and greets set up.
4.) If you are not ready to immediately meet the dog you are applying for, please do not apply- we are too busy for window shoppers! Every dog is available to be taken home with you at the time of the meet and greet.
5.) We recommend you bring a carrier with you to transport the dog home as some can get carsick. Adult dogs and most puppies over 6 months of age will require a slip lead.
6.) Adoption fees can be paid with Cash, Check, Venmo, PayPal and credit Card.
