Meet Mimsy!
Mimsy is a very affectionate and friendly 6-year-old short-haired brown tabby with the softest purr and the sweetest heart. She’s the kind of cat who truly loves people—whether that means curling up beside you, gently asking for pets, or keeping you company as you go about your day.
She’s past the kitten chaos phase and has settled into that perfect adult-cat sweet spot: calm, cuddly, and deeply appreciative of attention.
She would thrive in a home where she can be part of daily life and soak up affection. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily return your love tenfold, Mimsy is ready to meet you. Her foster dad calls her “Ms Purrmageddon” for her loud and enthusiastic purr.
Quick facts about Mimsy:
6-year-old spayed female
Short-haired brown tabby
Extremely affectionate and people-oriented
Gentle, friendly, and loving
Mimsy is ready to start her next chapter—with someone who will adore her as much as she adores them.

More about this rescue
Golden Oldies Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in June 2016.
Our mission is to be a resource and advocate for older cats in Monterey County. We re-home older cats in Monterey County whose guardians can no longer care for them, or those who are at risk in local shelters. We place these cats in temporary foster homes and then find permanent loving homes for them enriching the lives of both the cats and their new humans.
We promise a lifetime commitment to the cats in our care. They either will be adopted or will live out their lives in one of our foster homes.
Golden Oldies is led by a board who share a vision of helping older cats in Monterey County live out their remaining years in safe, secure and loving homes. We are all volunteer and 100 percent foster-based
