Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET TEX!
Ever the perfect gentleman in his tuxedo, Tex is a doll! He loves looking lovingly at people with his soulful gaze. After earning your trust, Tex will sidle up next to you and lie down to show off his best slow blinks and offer an occasional head butt. Tex has shared his space with a few different cats, including one who liked to bonk his head with her paw and he just stood his ground as a lover not a fighter. His next roommate was a better fit and the two could often be seen hanging out well together so, Tex might like another cat of similar chill status. Tex might be a good fit for a busy home with children as long as everyone understands he is not a fan of being restrained or picked up.
Tex is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been neutered, microchipped, and seen by our vet team.
For more information on Tex or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.

The Animal Rescue League of Boston is committed to matching adoptable animals with a permanent home. Our conversation-based, application-free adoption process is designed so that the needs of both the animal and the adopter are understood and compatible with one another. We require the following as part of the adoption process:
* Adopter must be 18 years of age or older
* Have a conversation with an ARL adoption counselor
* A photo of the cage your pet will live in, if adopting a small animal or bird
See fees at www.arlboston.org/adopt/adopt-a-pet/

More about this shelter
Pets are family. This belief is at the heart of everything we do at the Animal Rescue League of Boston.
We are the first female-founded animal welfare organization in Massachusetts and are proud to carry on a legacy of kindness and compassion, helping more than 20,000 animals annually since 1899.
Recognized for our innovative, award-winning programs that go beyond sheltering, we address the root causes of the issues facing animals and the people who love them.
By partnering with communities, we help animals heal and thrive, keep pets and people together, and protect animals from harm.
Because there is no government funding for this important work, animals must rely on people like you to get the care they need, when they need it most, 365 days a year.
