Hi, I’m Boo! I’m a friendly, sweet girl with big curious eyes and an even bigger heart. I really love people and get along wonderfully with other pets too. I once shared my space with another cat for a short time, and we all lived together peacefully. I’ve also lived with kids before and did great with them! I’m the kind of cat who enjoys her independence, but don’t let that fool you—I’m very affectionate. I’ll happily accept pets all the time, and when I’m done, I’ll politely walk away. At night, I’m known to sleep in bed with you, which is my favourite way to keep you company. I’m okay with being picked up for a bit, but I’m not super cuddly about it—if I’ve had enough, I’ll give a little squirm to let you know. Playtime is important to me! I love chasing string toys, springs, and tiny toy mice. I can be playful and silly, then settle down calmly when it’s time to relax. I do have a very sensitive tummy and my poop is usually soft sometimes watery. I might need to be on prescribed diet to help with this issue in a long run. If you’re looking for a cat who is loving, well-mannered, playful, and gentle—with the sweetest personality and can afford my special diet—I might just be your girl. I can’t wait to meet my forever family.

The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
