Hugo and Vera came to us back in mid-September from a family that found them in the crawl space of their home. The kittens were about three days old and needed care the family could not provide. Since both kittens are tuxedos, we named them after designers Hugo Boss and Vera Wang; hence, Hugo and Vera. We are calling their birthday September 10, 2025. [.
Although orphan kittens miss the opportunity to bond with a mom cat, they completely imprint on humans, which makes them much easier to socialize. And because they were only a few days old when we got them, they associate humans with food, play, affection, and safety.
Hugo and Vera were originally adopted in November and were supposed to leave with the adopter the first week of January. Because of an unforeseen change in living arrangements, the kittens are again available for adoption. The good news is they are now four months old, and we know exactly what their personalities are like! Both kittens are healthy, playful, have all their vaccines, and are spayed and neutered. They are completely litter trained and have the run of their foster house.
Our strong preference is for bonded kittens to be adopted in pairs, the advantage being you are guaranteed to have a compatible match. Bonded kittens provide comfort, companionship, and a wrestling partner for each other. In their case, we will only consider adopting them as a pair.
Our adoption fee is $150 and covers FIV/FeLV testing, deworming, vaccinations, and spay/neuter with a partner clinic. To set up a visit, drop me a note at cherylsferalsandfosters@gmail.com or PM me. If you are considering adopting, please fill out and submit the adoption contract found in The Adoption Process link on my website (cherylsferalsandfosters.com). In the meantime, you can follow their journey on Facebook: Cheryl’s Ferals and Fosters. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3).
