My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dasher is 13 pound pup who is a very happy and curious dog. He is constantly making his
humans laugh with his quirky personality and silly faces.

While Dasher is very easy going at home and spends lots of time napping, he is equally energetic on walks and hikes. Dasher walks great on leash, and when super energetic can zig-zag back and forth from excitement. He is friendly when encountering small and large dogs on walks.

Dasher is house-trained and has no issues with being in the crate while his humans are away. When out of the crate, Dasher stills try to figure out how mirrors work and at times runs into them! When he is ready for a break, you can find him hanging out in one of his favorite places - under the couch.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue dog! Whether you adopt from Rocket Dog or another rescue group, the fact is you will save a life. Adopting a rescued animal is a lifetime commitment! The first step in our adoption process is completing an adoption questionnaire here: https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/

From there, you will be contacted by a volunteer to talk more about what you're looking for and if the dog you're interested in might be a good fit.

Go meet their pets

Our dogs live both in foster homes and at the Rocket Dog Sanctuary in Oakland. The best way to arrange a meeting for a specific dog is to fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website here: https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/

We have adoption events every weekend throughout the Bay Area, which you can see here - https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/events/
