This big beautiful girl cost someone $3500 2 years ago. A year ago she found herself abandoned and living on a chain a couple hundred feet behind the home she used to live inside of. The family she used to be a part of had moved away. Thankfully the property owner had been caring for her until he could find the perfect place for her. She is now safe and comfortable at the Funny Farm and back inside where it’s warm and she gets to play and have people love on her throughout the day. She is 62 pounds of pure love. She loves everyone she meets and is a little submissive. She loves other dogs of all sizes as well. She has a moderate prey drive so cats would probably not be a great idea although we are told she used to live with 2. She absolutely loves toys, especially this giant donut and she loves to go for rides. She does great off leash and has excellent recall. She is the typical Rottie and is a slob with her water and food and has no idea how big she is because she loves to sit in your lap. She knows sit but I believe from living on a chain for a year, she does jump a little but she corrects fairly easy. This girl has tons of potential in an experienced home. She needs lots of exercise and consistent training.
If you think you are the perfect match for Zoey you need to start by submitting the adoption application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog
Her adoption fee is $325 and if she requires transport from her current foster home near Jackson TN there will be an additional $200 fee.
She will be fully vetted before leaving the rescue. You can check her and her adoptable friends out at funnyfarmpets.org and check out her videos on FB at https://www.facebook.com/mcbfunnyfarmrescue?

Additional adoption info
To adopt a pet from FFRR you must be at least 21 and submit an adoption application We contact references listed on your application. If you rent or live with another person, we must speak to your landlord or roomate to confirm that you have permission to have the pet you are applying for. We may also need to conduct a home visit to make sure the accommodations for the pet you are interested in are suitable. We do not allow any adopted pets to live on chains or any other tethering devices. Once approved you must complete a contract and pay the adoption fee. The majority of the pets are in TN and we only list them in the northern states at the transport meeting locations due to the low volume of dogs in the northern states

There is NOT a shelter to visit the pets.
Once your application is approved you will be put in contact with the foster parent to make sure it is a perfect match for both you and the pet. Most of these pets are still in foster homes in TN and will not travel north until their adoptions are finalized.

More about this rescue
Funny Farm Rescue Ranch is a non-profit, 501c3, all volunteer agency chartered by the State of TN. We take in pets that are unwanted, abandoned, abused, neglected, homeless or otherwise in need. We are not a shelter and do not have a shelter in NJ or any other northern state. Each of our pets is in a home with a volunteer foster parent and only leaves the foster home in TN to go to their "forever" home once they are fully vetted. Our goal is to reduce the pet overpopulation problem through spay/neuter, adoption and education.
