My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Zeppelin, or “Zeppy” to his friends! He's a 2-year-old Miniature Schnauzer Mix who weighs 22.1 pounds. This sweet gentleman is a quiet, loyal guy who likes to take things slow at first—but once he feels comfortable, he’s happiest being right by your side. Zeppy is housetrained in his foster home and does great in his crate, keeping it clean both overnight and when his foster family is away.

Right now, Zeppy is still settling into his new surroundings and prefers relaxing near his people. His foster mom thinks his playful side will continue to come out as his confidence grows. His calm, “chill” nature seems to be a big part of who he is, making him a wonderful companion for a cozy home.

Zeppy currently lives with children ages 5, 8, and 10 and has done wonderfully with them—slow, respectful introductions are the key to his heart! He’s coexisting well with his canine foster siblings and is slowly warming up to his foster dad, too.

If you’re looking for a cuddle buddy to help keep you warm (snoring included!), Zeppy might be your perfect match. He enjoys belly rubs, leisurely walks around the yard, being outside, and sticking close to his people. His foster family already knows that saying goodbye to this sweet boy will be the hardest part.

Zeppelin's minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
