Hugo is a 7-month-old, big, goofy puppy with a curious mind and a happy heart. He’s playful, loving, and full of that classic puppy joy that makes you smile without even trying.
Hugo does great with other large, young dogs and would love a canine buddy who can match his energy and play style. He’s very friendly and enthusiastic, but because he’s still learning boundaries, he’s a bit too much for tiny dogs and may overwhelm older, more laid-back pups.
He does well with children, but due to his size and playful nature, he’s best suited for a home with kids 12 and older who understand that puppies don’t yet know the difference between dog toys and kid toys. Hugo is crated at night and when his people are away, and he free roams while supervised. He’s been easy to potty train with a consistent routine and rarely has accidents.
Hugo is a curious boy who loves bully sticks, playing tug, and proudly carrying sticks on his walks. He enjoys being outside, walks beautifully on leash, and benefits from plenty of toys and chews to keep his mind and mouth busy while he continues to mature.
Hugo had a rough start to life—he was found dumped on the side of the road, covered in fleas and worms, with what appeared to be dog bite wounds on his head. Despite that, he is incredibly loving, trusting, and resilient. He holds no grudges and is ready to give his whole heart to the right family.
