Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ryan is estimated to be about 7 years old, and our best guess is that he’s a chihuahua/schipperke mix. He’s approximately 12 lbs, and floofy as heck!
His fosters are calling him Ryan the Lion because he’s got the floof and the strong personality they imagine a lion would have.
He comes from a setting where he was the only dog and his body language wasn’t observed well and respected, so he’s not a super big fan of being picked up and is quick to try to “correct” when someone comes comes too close in his personal space.
Fosters hope with some decompression time, exposure to other well mannered pups Ryan will learn that he is safe, loved, and doesn’t have to be so quick to the defend himself. He’s learning that he can have personal space!
Ryan has lived with cats in the past, and lives with them now also - and he pays them no mind!
Loves toys that squeak or crinkle, will play tug or fetch once he feels comfortable in his space.

Please fill out an adoption application if you are interested in any of our animals. Effective January 1, 2023, our adoption fees are $375 for dogs under 18 mo. of age, $325 for dogs over 18 months of age, and $0 - $180 for senior and/or medically needy dogs.
