My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Look for your right hand man - or dog?

Meet BILLY!
Gender: Male
Weight: 60 lbs.
Age: 2-3 yrs. old
Breed: White Shepherd
Energy level: Medium/High

Billy is a young, active 60lb white shepherd mix who wants to be by your side on every mission-whether it’s sitting at the coffeehouse or training for a 5k.

Billy:
• Is crate-trained
• Is house-trained
• Is good on a leash
• Is go-with-the flow and up for anything, as long as he gets to do it with you
• Enjoys the simple things in life like sunbathing and playing with sticks
• Loves a good romp or chase to let out his energy
• Will make you laugh every single day

Billy would love a home who appreciates his big personality and boundless love. He still has puppy energy which comes out in bursts and he needs some room for zoomies. He’d love a family where there’s always someone he can hang out with, and with people who don’t mind sharing their couches and chairs. He hasn’t been tested with toddlers, but he’d do well with older kids (10+ yrs old).

As a shepherd, he’s got some deep-seated prey drive coupled with impressive speed. He may enjoy some dog sports to get out his natural tendencies. He also has some impressive cuddling skills. He’s a handsome boy, as everyone has pointed out while out and about in town.

Billy has had eight weeks of board-and-train at North County Canine Training and every time he returns for boarding, he is greeted with smiles and love. If you live in the San Diego area, his training makes him eligible for free group training sessions and pack walks for his entire life!

Due to that prey drive, he doesn't do well with cats, but for dogs he just needs some proper introductions (don’t we all?) for successful friendships to be built. Billy is a happy-go-lucky boy who loves people, and would make the perfect silly, rambunctious, loyal friend. He is ready to meet his people and start the big life that fits his big personality!
