My friends at Wayside say: I am housebroken and crate trained in my foster home. I get along well with the other dogs in my foster home. I love to play with toys, go for walks, and hang out with my people.
Hi there, I’m Sue! I’m a bubbly, happy, energetic pup, full of fun and ready for my new life as a family dog. I have such a gentle soul too. I’m the perfect combination of playful and silly mixed with affectionate and chill. I have so much to offer and I can’t wait to be your dog. I hope you want that too.
I’m a darling (just look at my photos!), 6-month-old, 30-pound (and still growing) Hound mix, with the cutest face, a perfect head tilt when I’m curious, soft puppy fur, and an endearing, goofy, delightful personality. I’m even already fully housebroken and crate trained, too. I was transferred to Wayside from a rural shelter in Mississippi that didn’t have space for me. Oh boy, that was a scary and confusing time for me, moving across the country and finding myself in the big shelter. I trembled in fear, yet my sweet spirit came shining through even as I felt so alone and afraid. Foster Mom noticed that I was struggling, so she jumped into action, gently loading me into her car and taking me home with her. She’s been teaching me all about life as she makes me feel special and cared for and safe. Ah, I can finally relax.
I settled in quickly and made myself right at home in foster. At first, I stayed in my crate at night and when no one was home. I’m well behaved though, especially for a pup, so I’ve been given more freedom as time goes on. These days, I sleep on my favorite dog bed at night, and I can be trusted to roam free in the house for short periods of time when Foster Mom runs errands. I still enjoy napping and hanging out in my crate with the door open occasionally too. Like most pups, I’m interested and curious about everything in the house, and I’m still learning which things are mine. When I occasionally get into something that I shouldn’t, Foster Mom stays patient and understanding with me. She keeps her stuff picked up and provides me with plenty of toys which are always available to me. I’m figuring it all out with time. I love to play with and chase after my toys! They make me happy. Peacefully lounging on the couch is another favorite activity. I do
