My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Maisie – A Loyal, Gentle Companion Looking for Her Person 🐾💖

Maisie is a sweet girl about 6 years old who thrives on routine and feeling safe. She sleeps soundly in her crate at night where she happily snuggles with her blanket. She is potty trained and knows how to use a doggie door if one is available.

Maisie loves her daily walks and is a great walking partner—about 20 minutes a day keeps her happy. She enjoys snuggling next to you but is also content relaxing in her own spot as long as she knows you’re nearby. She prefers a female owner, though with time and patience she does warm up to men as well. Wherever you are, that’s where Maisie wants to be.

She’s not much into toys or chewies and can be a bit of a food beggar. Car rides are not her favorite and tend to make her anxious. Maisie can also be a bit of a “flight risk,” so a secure home and mindful door management are important. She’s clever too—if there’s a way onto counters or tables, she just might find it!

Maisie would be a wonderful companion for someone who is home often. She gets along well with other dogs, though she may take on a bossy role despite her smaller size.

Maisie is a loyal, loving girl who will thrive in a calm, attentive home where she can feel safe, loved, and close to her person. 💕

Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard.

If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home.

HOW TO APPLY: From Petfinder.com The fastest way to get to the adoptable dog page is to copy and then paste this link into your browser: https://unitedanimalfriends.org/adoptable-dogs/

When you are on the UAF website Select "Adoptable Dogs" and pick the dog you are interested in. To apply to adopt, go into the dog's profile, and click the gray "Apply for Adoption" button to get started.
