My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kenai (A110271) is a 12-year-old AK Husky who weighed 38 pounds on intake!

12/31/25 This active older lady is Kenai! Even though Kenai may be a senior, she has the spunk of a youngster! Her owner even stated she can still jump fences and will leap at the opportunity if left unsupervised. Other than her escape artist tendencies, she is a real gem! She was stated to great with people of all ages including babies and children. She also has previously done great with other dogs and even cats! Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with new animals to set her up for success. Kenai was seen by the shelter vet and received an injectable antibiotic for irritation on her nose. It was advised that she be rechecked on 1/12/26 to make sure the bridge of her nose is healed. As she is a senior dog, it was also advised that she have routine visits with your vet and will need a dental cleaning in the near future. Kenai is the sweetest old lady and if you are interested in meeting her, please let us know!
