My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Located in a foster in NYC!
🐰 Meet Bun Bun (aka Bunny) 🐰
9 months old | 47 lbs | BIG heart in a smaller-than-expected body

Bun Bun is truly one of the most loving dogs you’ll ever meet. He adores his people, lives for playtime, and will happily sprint back and forth with his balls until his heart is full. When the energy is out, he turns into the ultimate cuddle buddy — chewing on a toy while soaking up belly rubs and back scratches 🖤

Bunny is still a puppy learning how to exist in the world. He can be reactive to dogs at times, has some separation anxiety, and shows typical puppy mouthiness — all things we are actively working on through structure, crate training, and consistency. The good news? He is incredibly smart and eager to learn. The potential in this dog is HUGE.

Bun Bun needs either a long-term foster or a forever home with patient, loving humans who understand that great dogs aren’t born — they’re built. He will thrive with continued training, routine, exercise, and people who see not just where he is now… but where he’s going.

✨ Sweet Bunny deserves a home that believes in him.
✨ A home that sees his heart.
✨ A home that gives him the chance he’s been waiting for.

More about this rescue

We are a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue and sanctuary outside Augusta, Maine. We take animals from high euthanasia rate shelters and overcrowded shelters, and find them forever families. We also work with our communities on initiatives that are important in animal welfare, like spay/neuter programs and food pantries.
