Meet Flapjack (aka Jack)
I am listed as a 4-year-old 63lb Husky mix, but I prefer to think of myself as a very handsome gentleman with a big heart. I used to be the neighborhood’s friendly community stray, but since being rescued, I’ve discovered that couches, unlimited treats, and people are way better than street life.
A few things to know about me:
• Up to date on vaccines & neutered
• Medium energy
• House-trained (when kept on a schedule) & crate-trained
• Knows sit and Paw
• Food-motivated, eager to please
Personality:
• Sweet, goofy, loyal
• Sticks close to his person — loves to follow you around or lay by your feet
• Loves a good squeaker toy and bones
• Great at settling down when play time is over.
Great with:
• Cats
• Dogs
• Kids - I’m basically a giant teddy bear who doesn’t always realize how big I am. I’d do best with older kids. Or a family who understands my size. I currently live with a 1.5-year-old human and I’m very gentle, but my size can be a bit much.
Adjustment:
• I do a classic husky howl when it’s time to go in my crate. It’s not drama… it’s communication. After a few minutes, I settle in and nap until it’s time to come back out. My foster mom has noticed that after a week of putting me in my cage, I have settled into my routine and I have not done the cry/howl since then.
I’m a loyal, goofy, lovable guy who just wants to be part of your everyday life. If you’re looking for a playful companion who also knows how to relax, I might just be your perfect match. I am available for adoption on January 3, 2026 through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA. KL 16182
