My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you’re looking for a companion who is the perfect mix of "smart as a whip" and "sweet as honey," Dennis is your guy!

This handsome Shepherd mix has been through a lot, but he hasn't let it dampen his spirit for a single second. Dennis arrived at the rescue with a fractured leg, but after a successful FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy) surgery and plenty of TLC, he is officially healed and ready to hit the pavement! He absolutely loves his walks and moves with a grace that hides his tough start.

A Quiet Companion: Dennis isn’t a barker. He prefers to observe the world with a calm, steady gaze.

Social Butterfly: He is incredibly friendly and does well with other dogs.

The Perfect Passenger: Whether it’s a trip to the pet store or a cross-country trek, Dennis rides beautifully in the car.

Brainy & Eager: He is highly intelligent and very treat-motivated, which makes training a breeze (and a lot of fun!).

Dennis is a "plug-and-play" kind of dog when it comes to home manners:
✅Potty Trained: No accidents here!
✅ Crate Trained: He views his crate as his safe space.
⚠️ The "Counter Surf" Disclaimer: Dennis is a bit of an amateur chef... in that he loves to see what’s cooking on your counters! He’ll need a family that keeps the snacks tucked away while he learns his boundaries.

Dennis is approximately 2 years old, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

More about this rescue

We are a registered 501(c)(3) non- profit, charitable organization. Our mission is to rescue dogs from overcrowded and high kill shelters, and place them in loving homes. We also strive to educate the public on responsible pet ownership, and the importance of spay/neuter, so that one day there will no longer be adoptable dogs, euthanized by the thousands in our shelters. We are an all volunteer organization. 100% of donations go directly to the care of the dogs.
