My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

M - 4 years old - Terrier Mix -

Gingerbread is a sweet, sensitive little guy who bonds deeply with his people. Because of that, he struggles with separation anxiety and doesn’t love being sent outside alone for potty or playtime. He’ll let you know how he feels with some howling and barking. He's definitely the perfect little lap dog. He simply prefers his humans nearby and feels safest when he knows he’s not being left behind.

With other dogs, Gingerbread does well and enjoys companionship. He was previously returned because the resident dog didn’t respond well to his corrections, so thoughtful introductions and a good personality match will be important. He communicates clearly and appreciates dogs who respect boundaries.

He has done well with kids and has shown himself to be a loving, engaging companion in a home environment. Gingerbread is the kind of dog who wants to be part of your daily life, following you from room to room, curling up close, and being included.

He will thrive in a patient home that understands separation anxiety and is willing to help him build confidence and security. In return, you’ll get a loyal little shadow who loves deeply and just wants to be your person.
