My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kendall
Kendall is a sweet, gentle kitten who has been patiently waiting for his forever home for almost three months. He can be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe, his loving personality truly shines. With a bit of patience and kindness, Kendall opens up into a cuddly, affectionate companion.
Earlier in his journey, Kendall caught a kitty cold known as a URI (Upper Respiratory Infection) that led to an eye infection and ulcer. He has since fully healed with mild scaring to his right eye, and is doing great—healthy, happy, and ready to start his next chapter.
Kendall would do best in a calm, loving home where he can continue to build confidence and be cherished. If you’re looking for a sweet soul who just needs a little time to bloom, Kendall might be your perfect match.

More about this shelter

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
