My name is Annie!

Annie is from Massachusetts. My uncle found her outside the greenhouse of the soldier's home where he lived. He sheltered her in his room, feeding her from a baby bottle. Little Orphan Annie roamed the hallways, meowing at residents and riding the elevator. The men would gift my uncle with toys, treats, and food for their hall mascot. Annie wasn't affectionate with anyone but my uncle, and then only after he'd gone to bed. She'd jump up on his chest, ready for cheek rubs and back pats, purring loudly.

My uncle was distraught when the new administration said pets were not allowed. He flew down from Boston with Annie in a carrier, and came to visit her every Thanksgiving. She's lived with me for 11 years.

Annie likes to sleep on my bed, sit next to me on the arm of the sofa, and to be petted on her own terms by rubbing her face against my hand. She is vocal, plays with a laser, feather, or pencil; and would thrive in a quiet home where she can bond with 1-4 people.
