Ennis and Arabella are a truly special bonded pair whose lives were forever changed by separate but devastating accidents—and whose healing began when they found each other.
Ennis is a tabby-and-white male kitten born around July 22, 2025. At just seven weeks old, Ennis was hit by a car on a local freeway. By sheer luck and incredible human compassion, the Director of People Assisting Animal Control witnessed the accident, stopped, and rescued him from the roadway. Ennis was found badly injured and in shock and was rushed for emergency care. He was treated by Dr. Bugai in Seguin for a broken pelvis, then transferred to our shelter for extended cage rest and recovery. To give him the best chance at a pain-free life, his injured leg was later amputated.
Arabella is a beautiful Siamese kitten born on June 20, 2025. She, too, was hit by a car, suffering a broken leg and a torn lip. Like Ennis, Arabella endured pain and trauma no kitten should ever experience. Her injuries ultimately resulted in leg amputation, and she has since healed remarkably well.
Both kittens are now tripods, and both are neutered/spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and medically stable.
Emotionally, however, Ennis struggled. His trauma left him shy, fearful, and unsure—until he was placed with Arabella. Something beautiful happened when these two were brought together. They recognized one another. They understood each other’s limitations, fears, and strength.
Since being paired, Ennis has shown significant emotional improvement, and Arabella has become calmer and more confident. They comfort one another, play together, and rest side by side. They need each other.
For this reason, Ennis and Arabella are being adopted together as a bonded pair.
They do not need pity. They need patience, gentleness, and a home that believes in second chances.
If you are looking for two extraordinary survivors who have already endured more than most—and who will reward love with quiet devotion—Ennis and Arabella are waiting.
