Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Dione!
Dione is a 3.5 month, 18-lb (as of 1/25) hound mix with a huge personality packed into a bouncy little body. She’s a goofy, happy-go-lucky puppy with two favorite modes: wildly enthusiastic playtime and serious, melt-into-you snuggles—and she does both exceptionally well.
Dione is energetic, playful, and endlessly curious. She loves toys (and almost always has one in her mouth), plays beautifully with other dogs, and adores her foster dog siblings. She’s also met a cat and is very intrigued—she just hasn’t quite learned yet that cats aren’t dogs 😄
She’s comfortable with people, affectionate, and not shy at all. While city noises can still make her a little nervous, she enjoys spending time in the yard and continues to gain confidence. Dione is crate trained, puppy-pad trained, and can relax quietly in her crate for a few hours.
Like any teething puppy, Dione needs frequent redirection to toys and is learning basic boundaries such as “no” and “leave it.” She’s smart, eager, and learning quickly.
Dione would thrive in a home ready for active puppy life, continued training, and lots of love. She’s bright, affectionate, playful, and full of potential—and will make an amazing companion for someone ready to grow alongside her.
If you’re looking for a joyful, snuggly, toy-loving pup, Dione might be your perfect match

PupStarz Rescue is an animal welfare group committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs and cats in public shelters at high risk of euthanasia, as well as those in danger of abuse. We are committed to rescuing as many animals as possible, saving over 4,500 dogs and cats since 2015.
PupStarz Rescue is a foster-based rescue, relying on fosters to open their homes and lives to our Animals. Animals in our care receive proper medical care, including alteration, vaccinations, and microchipping.
Following a thorough screening, our animals are placed in loving, responsible, committed forever homes. PupStarz Rescue ensures that adoptions are an appropriate match for both the animal and their new family by educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a furry companion into their lives.
We are committed to the welfare of our "Starz" beyond the adoption process. We maintain open communication with our adopters to ensure a smooth transition, and offer additional support such as positive training techniques.
Founded in 2015, PupStarz Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, no-kill, animal rescue organization.
