My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ivy, a lovable, attention-adoring 7-year-old pit bull who truly believes she’s a lap dog despite her 86-lb size. This sweet girl is spayed, fully up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Ivy has a heart as big as her smile and loves being right in the middle of whatever her people are doing. She came into my life as a baby from a family member’s accidental litter and has been deeply loved ever since. Ivy has no ongoing medical conditions; she did have an emergency tail amputation a few years ago, but she healed beautifully and has had no issues since. Ivy has a medium energy level — she enjoys playtime and activity but is also perfectly happy having a lazy day at home. She loves playing fetch (and will let you know when she’s done by simply not bringing the ball back), going on walks, and soaking up all the cuddles she can get. She thrives on human attention and bonds deeply with her people. Ivy would do best as the only pet, as she is not good with other dogs or cats. She hasn’t spent much time around children, so her comfort level there is currently unknown. When it comes to affection, Ivy is a total cuddle bug and happiest curled up with her favorite person. Ivy is housebroken, crate-trained, and has a solid foundation of training. She walks well on leash, with only mild pulling that’s easily corrected, and she knows basic commands like sit, stay, and shake. She’s a smart, eager-to-please girl who responds well to guidance. Ivy is being rehomed due to no fault of her own — she is no longer getting along with my older dog, and I want to make sure she has the peaceful, loving home she deserves. Ivy is sweet, loyal, affectionate, and full of love to give. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will be your shadow, your cuddle buddy, and your biggest fan, Ivy may be your perfect match.
