My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Malia, a brilliant and spunky shepherd mix who is ready to find her forever pack!

Born in September, this sweet girl is the perfect blend of brains and energy, looking for a family who can keep her paws moving and her mind sharp. Whether it’s a game of fetch or a backyard adventure, Malia is always up for the challenge! She is currently a star student working hard on her potty and kennel training, and once she’s a bit older, she’ll look to her new family for some guidance on mastering her leash manners. ‍

Malia is naturally friendly and confident, getting along famously with humans and dogs of all sizes! ‍ While we aren’t quite sure how she feels about cats yet, we do know she’s a healthy girl who is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and already has her spay scheduled. If you’re looking for an active companion to grow with your family, Malia is waiting to meet you!

Please complete an adoption application at www.pathwaysforpaws.com. If she fits your family and lifestyle, you will be contacted within 48 hours.

Additional adoption info

In some circumstances, meeting the dog and a home check are done at the same time if the dog is ready to be adopted. We do have conversation with potential adopters prior to them meeting the dog. If they are interested in adopting a puppy who is not ready for adoption (not altered, not UTD, etc) they are able to put a hold on the pup until ready for adoption.

More about this rescue

Pathways for Paws was founded in October 2019. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, animal welfare organization.

Our mission is to make spay/neuter & vaccinations affordable to those in our communities. By achieving this, we will help prevent the neglect & abuse of dogs. All dogs in our care are spay/neutered, given the age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before going to their FURever families.

We work with rescues & fellow animal advocates to continue growing a network of volunteers and supporters.
