My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sinatra’s rescue began with a trap set for a feral cat — but what they found inside was something entirely unexpected. Instead of a wild, frightened stray, they discovered a breathtaking, blue-eyed gentleman with a stunning coat and a heart far too soft to have survived the streets alone. From the very first moment, it was clear: Sinatra was no feral. He was trusting, kind, and relieved to be seen.

Though he greeted his rescuers with sweetness, his body told a harder story. He was sick, exhausted, and suffering from infection due to untreated ear mites that had left large wounds behind his ears from scratching. This brave boy had been fending for himself for far too long. But even in discomfort, he allowed gentle hands to treat him. His trust was immediate. His gratitude was unmistakable.

And once he began to heal, Sinatra’s true star quality emerged.

This boy doesn’t just walk into a room…he saunters in, with a graceful, confident, almost regal stride, as if the world is his stage. Yet there is no arrogance in him. His presence is warm, humble, and deeply endearing.

Sinatra is incredibly curious, fascinated by anything new, and loves exploring the world around him. He’s very playful and throws himself wholeheartedly into it with a real Tomcat energy — but just as easily shifts into his other side: a laid-back, chill, easygoing guy who’s happy to relax and enjoy the company of his person.

Around dogs, Sinatra is completely unfazed — big or small, he treats them with calm indifference. With other cats, he’s a bit more unpredictable. He can be possessive of his human at times making him unpredictable with the other cats, so he may thrive best as an only cat, or possibly with a very laid-back, accepting feline companion.

But here’s what truly sets him apart: Sinatra is special. Deeply, unmistakably special.

His personality, his resilience, his presence, and his gentle soul make him one of those rare cats people never forget. He will bond deeply with the person who chooses him, and he will be an extraordinary best friend — loyal, loving, entertaining, and absolutely full of heart.

Whoever adopts Sinatra won’t just be giving a home to a cat. They’ll be welcoming a once-in-a-lifetime companion.

Please be aware that Sinatra has an ear condition that is believed to be an allergy. Medication to treat this is inexpensive.

Sinatra was born around August 20, 2022, and is currently being fostered in Waterbury. He is fixed, up-to-date on shots, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.

Applications for adoption can be found at our website at www.fosterandforever.org.

Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24-48 hours.

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.fosterandforever.org. If all is well on your application, we will contact you about setting up a home visit by one of our volunteers.

**Please give your vet permission to release information to us as we check references.

The adoption fee for our cats covers the cost of spaying/neutering, age appropriate routine vaccinations, deworming, snap test, and flea preventive treatment. Some of our older cats are offered at a reduced fee in order to encourage placement in a permanent home.

More about this rescue

Foster and Forever Pet Rescue Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue that was founded in 2011. We have been working since then to improve the lives of abandoned, abused and homeless animals by serving as an umbrella under which foster homes will provide care for homeless animals until loving permanent homes can be found.

We provide spay/neuter services and all necessary medical care, as well as food and supplies, and find foster homes to care for the animals we rescue until we are able to find them forever homes. For additional information, visit our web site at www.fosterandforever.org, and be sure to check us out on Facebook and Instagram.
