Malcom is a 5-year-old sweet, affectionate, and energetic boy who loves to cuddle and be near his people. We love him very much, and this has been an incredibly difficult decision for our family.
Since the birth of our baby, Malcom has been struggling with spraying in the house. We have worked very hard to help him. He has been examined by our veterinarian three separate times to rule out medical issues. He is currently on gabapentin and was also prescribed Prozac. We keep the litter boxes very clean, use calming diffusers, and regularly treat affected areas with enzyme cleaners. Despite all of our efforts, the spraying has continued.
Before this change in our home, Malcom got along well with our two other cats and did not have these issues. We truly believe he is stressed and unhappy in our current environment and that he may thrive in a quieter home without a baby. Our hope is that with patience, stability, and time to settle in, he can return to being the happy cat we know and lov
