My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buster here! You are looking at a three-year-old, seventy pound retriever mix that is super happy to be safe and sound at the shelter! I was picked up by one of the nice deputies of Animal Control when I was found hanging around a house out in the county. The homeowner knew the best place for me to wait for my owners was in the safety of the shelter. Welp! No one ever came for me and I am now ready for adoption. I have all of my vaccinations, I have a microchip, and I have been neutered. One small problem did show up on my health check up. It seems that I am heartworm positive. I’m not worried though because my treatment has already been scheduled! I sure hope that someone will want to foster me through my treatment and then adopt me to be a member of their family! Ahhhhh….that would be a dream come true!

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
