River is incredibly affectionate and loves being held. She’s a big purrer who enjoys soaking up attention from her people. She also has a playful, silly side and isn’t afraid to explore her surroundings, making her both fun and engaging to be around. River has shared space with a few different roommates and has always been kind and respectful, showing she does well with other cats. She’s a wonderful mix of loving, gentle, and adventurous, and would make a fantastic companion in her forever home.

We ask all who are interested in adopting an animal to fill out an adoption application. We interview all potential adopters with the goal of placing an animal with the correct family and compatible lifestyle. This is of prime importance – we endeavor to make this new home the animal’s residence for life. All of our animals must be spayed or neutered before leaving our facility as part of our adoption contract.
The adoption fees include spay / neuter costs as well as any vaccinations administered at the shelter. All animals are microchipped and your adoption fee covers the cost of a dog license for all of our Blaine County residents. You’ll also go home with a bag of food and a bag of goodies for your new pet!
