I am a GORGEOUS black lab/shepherd mix with a sad story to tell... but like ALL sad stories, I HAVE A HAPPY ENDING (so far:)
But I am looking for the family who will cherish me furever and I think that is YOU! You look pretty smart and put together... and that is WHY you want to adopt me!
I was found in a neighborhood, wandering in the blistering heat as well as the "colder" weather (40's in San Antonio is REALLY COLD :D
And the lady who took time to feed me and gain my trust was the same lady who saved me! She knew that I was a GOOD dog, just looking for someone to save me from the streets and give me HOPE for a better life.
No one really knows my back story, but some things are obvious.... I am smart and sensitive to new environments, I am sweet and CUDDLY, I am LOVING being back in a home and have been potty trained since minute one.... I love my unstuffed toys and carry my "baby" around all day.
I am a mess with fireworks or other loud- end of the world- kind of stuff. I am not a huge fan of bathing but LOVE a great car ride!!
I am learning all kinds of cool things here, the most important thing is I am loved!!!

Adoption counselor will email you to discuss the inquiry/application,and give more info about the pet, the foster and adoption process..

If you are approved to adopt, payments can be made on our website through PayPal, Debit Card or any major credit card.

Adoption application required for dogs. However, because it stresses cats to be confined and transported with dogs long distances, we do not transport our cats. They are local to Texas only. Thank you.

We work hard to place dogs in the right homes, if the adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal, help the adopter screen applicants and help facilitate finding another home for the dog.
