My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sassy: Your Potential New Best Friend
About Sassy
Sassy is a delightful 4-year-old Queensland Heeler who weighs in at 40 pounds. She's a fully vetted pup, which means she has received all necessary vaccines, is spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Despite a rough start in life, Sassy's resilient spirit shines through.
Sassy's Story
Sassy was sadly abandoned by her previous owners and left in an empty house with her German Shepherd friend and her five puppies. This challenging situation hasn’t dampened her spirits, though. Sassy remains as friendly as ever, both with people and other dogs.
Sassy's Personality and Skills
Dog and People Friendly: Sassy loves making new friends and is always ready to greet visitors with a wagging tail.
Crate Trained: She adapts well to crate training, making her a great companion for any living situation.
Leash Skills: Sassy is comfortable on a leash, making walks a pleasant experience for both of you.
Smart and Obedient: Her intelligence and good recall mean she listens well and follows commands effectively.
Medium Energy Level: While she enjoys activity, Sassy also appreciates downtime and can adapt to a variety of lifestyles.
The Perfect Home for Sassy
Sassy is looking for a loving home where she can be appreciated for the fantastic girl she is. She would thrive in an environment where she gets regular exercise to channel her medium energy levels. With her friendly demeanor and smart nature, she's sure to bring joy and companionship to any family willing to open their hearts to her.
Consider giving Sassy the loving forever home she deserves. She’s sure to repay your kindness with a lifetime of loyalty and affection.

More about this rescue

BMAR is a No-Kill facility: a place of safety for healthy adoptable animals, a home for the homeless, a haven for the mistreated, neglected, or abused animals of Sabine & surrounding counties. BMAR also runs a sanctuary for those deemed unadoptible due to medical and behavior issues.

100% Volunteer Rescue. We have no animal control, Humane Society, or SPCA operating in our area leaving animals in dire straights.

BMAR is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty & abuse to all animals & livestock.

We currently only adopt to states and Canada where we have a network in place to monitor animals and help with problems.

BMAR backs it's dogs for life and will take back no matter how long and at any time if circumstance arise and you cannot keep your pet.
