My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Finn is a sweet, playful, and lovable pup who’s perfectly balanced between adventure and relaxation. He loves running around the play yards with other dogs and is just as happy entertaining himself with a good rope or squeaky toy. Finn can be a little reserved when meeting new faces, but once he warms up, he becomes a loyal and devoted companion. He’s looking for a fun-loving, adventurous family where he can truly be himself and weave his way into becoming a cherished part of the family.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
