Chase is a 2‑year‑old domestic shorthair who has shown us he's a loving, playful, and social cat at heart  but the shelter environment has been really hard on him. This sensitive boy came from a home where he lived with other cats and small dogs, used his litterbox reliably, and enjoyed toys, treats, and time with people.
Since arriving at the shelter, Chase has been struggling with the stress of the new environment, and that stress is causing him to act out in ways that don't reflect his true personality. Cats like Chase often feel overwhelmed by the noise, smells, and constant activity of shelter life, and they need a calmer, more predictable home to feel safe again.
When Chase is comfortable, he's:
Friendly with family and visitors
Playful and active
Affectionate and social
A lover of jingle balls, feather toys, and laser pointers
Known for his adorable habit of meowing for food and shaking his treat container
Chase is neutered and vaccinated. What he needs most is a patient adopter who understands that stress can bring out temporary behaviors  and that once he decompresses, his sweet, goofy, treat‑shaking personality will shine again.
If you're someone who believes in giving a sensitive cat the chance to feel safe and loved, Chase is waiting for you. 218-681-8045
