Spork thrives with feline companions such as his siblings, and would do great in a home with other calm, confident cats to show him the ropes. While he’s still shy around people, he's never aggressive — if startled, he may hiss or run to a safe spot, but he’s never bitten or scratched. With time and patience, he’s started to enjoy chin scratches and will melt for a Churu treat.
Because Spork is still building confidence, he’s looking for a quiet, adult-only home (or one with older, calm teens) that will give him the slow, gentle decompression he needs. With your love and patience, he’s sure to blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion.

Current programming such as our Adoption Program, Military Veterans’ Program, and Healing Paws Pet Therapy Program create positive, impactful connections between people and animals, improving the lives of both. Future programs will be offered in partnership with human-service organizations throughout our community, maximizing impact and changing lives for the better.

Services such as our Low-Cost Vaccination, Dental, and Spay/Neuter Clinics offer affordable veterinary care options, preventing owners from having to give up their pets simply because they can’t afford care. On the horizon are additional programs to keep pets in homes, such as a pet food pantry, affordable pet training options, and temporary housing for pets when families are in crisis.
