Rooney is a very active dog. He is sweet and very loyal. He loves to cuddle, play fetch, and play with other dogs. He is the alpha in any pack of animals, so he can be independent and stubborn at times, but he loves to please and earn attention!
Rooney is very teachable, and needs the patience of an owner who can take the time to help him learn. He is protective and is a good guard dog.
We are rehoming because we have and toddler and infant and unexpectedly had to move out of our larger home that was more conducive for his thriving, so his energy needs exceed the current space and time we can provide. He would be best in a home with older kids rather than younger kids. He gets along with smaller dogs better than larger dogs and loves to play with them. A home with a large, securely fenced yard or acreage would be ideal. He is a great best friend and we are heartbroken to rehome him, but want him to have a better living scenario than we can currently provide.
