Shotgun first came to us as a sickly little stray and was lovingly bottle-fed for weeks by our amazing volunteer, Terry. After Terry sadly passed away, Shotgun was adopted, but it became clear that he doesn’t thrive in a home with multiple male cats.
Shotgun is now a big, very sweet boy who loves to cuddle and nap on a sunny windowsill. He gets along well with female cats, dogs, and children, and would do best in a home with no other cats or just one to two female companions.
When stressed, Shotgun can struggle with litter box manners. He prefers a very clean litter box and does best when given the option of more than one. With the right setup and environment, he does well.
While he’s ventured outside a couple of times, Shotgun much prefers being an indoor cat—and he’s an excellent mouser to boot!
Shotgun is a loving, gentle soul who just needs the right home to truly settle in and shine. Could that home be yours? 🐾💙
