Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Brief Bio:Tortuga is a stunning tortoise shell female that is shy (especially hand shy initially) and needs time to trust new people and places in her life. All she wants is to be loved and a home that will show her what “permanent” looks like. She enjoys getting pets and love and purrs easily once she trusts you. If you are willing to meet her where she`s at and go slowly, she is going to shower with appreciation.
Summary of Personality:Tortuga is quite the chatty girl. She meows to let you know she’s ready for attention, love, and of course…food and treats! She`s still nervous around new toys, sounds, and people but she`s come a long, long way in building her confidence! She loves to get pet and loved on. She can get a little mouthy if she`s over stimulated. Her new family will want to have her in a smaller area with no or very limited hiding spaces (like under a dresser or bed) until she gains her footing and confidence in her new surroundings.
Home Life (experience with kids & other pets, etc):Tortuga absolutely adores the 2 resident cats who visit her room. She perks up instantly and follows them and rubs up against them. She would flourish with a feline friend but probably best with one that`s pretty chill, at least initially. She`s not been around dogs but a very mellow (smaller?) dog might be a fit with slow, proper introductions and monitoring. Tortuga is likely not well suited for a loud, active environment or smaller children.
Include any observations of being house trained (or not):Tortuga uses the litter box in her foster home. Her new family will want to make sure she knows where the litter box is in her new home before giving Jett full house access.
Is your foster litter box trained?:Yes
