Hello, my name is Angel 🤍 I’m an 11-year-old senior German Shepherd mix with a whole lot of love left to give. I weigh about 100 pounds and I’m currently working on slimming down a bit to help keep my old bones comfortable. I’m fully housebroken, crate trained, and a true lady of good manners.
I absolutely adore a soft bed and will happily curl up for cuddles any chance I get. I’m gentle, affectionate, and love soaking up attention from people of all ages — kids, adults, and seniors alike. I get along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and even livestock, and I’ll proudly keep an eye on the chickens too. I walk beautifully on a leash, travel like a pro, and know my basic commands. If there’s love to be given, I’ll be right there to receive it. 💕
I do have a sensitive side — loud noises like storms, fireworks, gunshots, or fire make me nervous — so I appreciate a calm, cozy place to relax when things get noisy. A quiet home where I can feel safe and secure is just my style. 🌧️
I should also share that I am heartworm positive, but please don’t let that scare you. Heartworm disease is only spread through mosquito bites and is not contagious to other pets or people. The treatment is very manageable and effective, and dogs like me go on to live happy, comfortable lives after completing it. I’m otherwise healthy and expected to do just fine with proper care. 🐾
If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle soul to share quiet moments, warm cuddles, and unconditional love, I might just be your girl. I’m ready to spend my golden years being cherished — and I promise to cherish you right back. 💖 You can also call the shelter at 479-394-5682 to find out more about me. **************** All animals at HSO are current on their vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. If not already spayed/neutered, there may be a short delay between when you select this pet and when they are ready to go home.
Breed and age are determined based on observable physical traits. Actual lineage and birth date are rarely known.
Adoption Fees: -$60 for cats -$60 for dogs over 6 years -$80 for dogs 6 months old to 6 years -$100 for puppies up to 6 months
Come visit our pets Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-2pm.

When you decide to adopt a pet, we charge a fee to cover some of our costs. (Except for 2 employees, all others are volunteers!) If there is any problem with your adopted pet, call us to work out a solution. Occasionally, we do take adopted pets back, but very seldom. This is why visiting our shelter is so important! We are willing to work with you! And we appreciate referrals!
