My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kato

Kato is a 12-year-old male Husky with a heart as big as his smile. This sweet senior is incredibly friendly and loves being around people—he’s the kind of dog who greets you with gentle enthusiasm and a wagging tail.

True to his Husky roots, Kato absolutely loves snowy weather. Cold days and frosty air bring out his happiest self, whether it’s going for a leisurely walk or simply enjoying the winter breeze. Despite his age, he still has a joyful spirit and enjoys spending time with his humans.

Kato would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a calm, affectionate dog who appreciates both outdoor moments and cozy time at home. He’s proof that older dogs have so much love left to give.

If you’re looking for a loyal, sweet-natured friend to share your days—especially the snowy ones—Kato might be the perfect match!

Additional adoption info

*Please note that walk-in appointments are welcomed and encouraged, and will be prioritized over online applications.

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your environment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!
