My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kind, Sweet, Ready to Bloom

Looking for a sweet, shy, and beautiful kitty to be your companion? You can bet on Mookie! She arrived at APA! with three working legs; we’re not sure what happened to her damaged leg, but it was irreparable so it was removed. She also arrived with her three adorable kittens, and now she’s adapting, recovering, and raising her babies, all at the same time! She’s probably already earned the title of SuperMom of 2026!

We don’t know much about Mookie’s history, but we know that she didn’t get the loving human attention or the safe home that she deserved. Right now she is cautious and reserved, and would do best with people who can be patient and gentle with her, giving her the time and space to settle in and relax - and help her to grow and show her inner sweet and confident self!

Mookie has a stunning fluffy tabby coat in browns and grays, and she is gorgeous! She is hopeful that a loving human with a quiet home will adopt her. She has mixed feelings about other cats - which works out well for her, because until she can be re-tested for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), she must be adopted into a home without other cats. Check back soon and we will have more news after her re-test!

Contact us today to learn more and to arrange a meet & greet with this darling young cat!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
